The tincture of St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb. This plant is characterized by bitterness, coldness, and dryness. Its components include glycosides, flavonoids, and rutin (volatile oils, tannins, and resins). St. John’s Wort has been known since ancient times as a remedy for wound and burn healing, pain relief (analgesic), and inflammation reduction (anti-inflammatory). It is also effective as a nerve inhibitor and tonic for trigeminal neuralgia, necrosis, trauma, and other nervous system issues. It also alleviates rheumatic pain and sciatica and is considered an astringent. In addition to its external effects, St. John’s Wort works internally on the nervous system and is effective for mild depression, speech disorders, sleep disturbances, and hysteria. The medicinal active ingredients are found throughout the plant—leaves, stems, and flowers, which are collected during the summer blooming season.

The tincture is created by steeping herbs in an alcoholic solution (grapa), usually over a period of a few weeks. During this, the active ingredients of the herbs dissolve in the alcoholic solution. This specific process results in the tincture retaining all the beneficial properties of the herbs to the fullest.

Herbal drops are highly concentrated herbal extracts in a natural alcoholic solution. They retain all their active ingredients and are completely natural.

Δοσολογία:

15-20 drops in water twice a day for a month. Take a break for ten days and repeat. Shake before use.
