Description

Ιδιότητες:

The Peppermint Tincture (Mentha Piperita) is derived from the processing of the leaves and flowers of the well-known plant. Peppermint has a long history as a medicinal herb. Its name, in fact, originates from Greek mythology, specifically from the nymph Minthe, whom Hades transformed into the fragrant plant “Kipea Minthe.” The ancient Greeks used it in cooking, winemaking, and pharmacy. In modern herbal medicine, Peppermint is primarily used to treat stomach disorders, as a mild analgesic, and to uplift and invigorate the body. The peppermint oil contains active compounds such as Menthol (7-48%), Menthone (20-46%), Menthyl Acetate (3-10%), and Menthofuran (1-17%).

According to the E Commission and ESCOP, Peppermint is considered to have a positive effect on various types of stomach disorders, such as gastritis, enteritis, and digestive tract inflammations. It is considered suitable for cases of dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, flatulence, colic, as well as for stomach cramps or spasms (antispasmodic action). The positive effect of peppermint on the gastrointestinal system makes it an important ingredient in combating nausea and the tendency to vomit.

As an invigorating herb, Peppermint is believed to improve mental clarity and generally increase the body’s energy levels. It is considered effective in treating headaches, “clearing” the mind, and enhancing the ability to concentrate. For this reason, it is recommended by many herbalists as an herb suitable for students and anyone engaged in intense mental work. In terms of physical “revitalization,” Peppermint is thought to have aphrodisiac properties.

In addition to the above properties, Peppermint has a mild analgesic effect and a wonderful aroma.

Τι είναι το Βάμμα:

The tincture is created by steeping herbs in an alcoholic solution (grapa), usually over a period of a few weeks. During this, the active ingredients of the herbs dissolve in the alcoholic solution. This specific process results in the tincture retaining all the beneficial properties of the herbs to the fullest.

Herbal drops are highly concentrated herbal extracts in a natural alcoholic solution. They retain all their active ingredients and are completely natural.
