Fliskouni is an excellent herb that mainly grows in coastal areas and places with high humidity. In fact, the ancient Greeks would scent their bathwater either with mint or fliskouni. Properties of Fliskouni
Fliskouni is recommended for colic and colitis. It is suggested as a diaphoretic in cases of fever and flu, while also soothing cough. It also relieves symptoms of nasopharyngeal conditions and asthma, and is recommended for stomach disorders and nausea, as well as improving digestion and relieving lower abdominal cramps.
It is considered soothing, calming, expectorant, heart-toning, and antispasmodic. It is also used as an emmenagogue, stimulating menstrual function.
Preparation Method
Place a small amount of the herb in boiling water, leave it for five to ten minutes, remove the herb, and the decoction is ready to serve.
