Attention:
Essential oils are natural, effective, and particularly pleasant to use. Their therapeutic properties can benefit everyone. However, they should be treated like medicines with caution, following the recommended dosage.
- Essential oils should not be used for ingestion (except for oregano, thyme, basil, and peppermint essential oils) and without the advice of a doctor.
- During pregnancy, especially during the first 5 months of gestation.
- By individuals suffering from hypertension.
- By individuals with severe nervous disorders.
- On infants (children under one year old).
Essential oils should be used with caution in the following cases:
- Some essential oils (e.g., Bergamot, Neroli, Lemon, etc.) can cause skin photosensitivity to ultraviolet rays from the sun. In general, we advise avoiding exposure to strong sunlight for 4 hours after aromatherapy (massage).
- Essential oils should be used diluted in a base (e.g., carrier oil) when coming into contact with the skin. We recommend not using undiluted essential oils on the skin.
- “Vulnerable” age groups (children and individuals over 60) should use essential oils in reduced proportions.
