Essential Oil of Tarragon

The essential oil of Tarragon is a completely natural product derived from the processing of the leaves and buds of the plant Artemisia dracunculus and is made according to a monastic recipe to preserve all of its valuable ingredients intact.

Essential Oil of Tarragon: Properties

The essential oil of tarragon has antiviral, antispasmodic, anti-allergic, and antimicrobial properties.

It is considered particularly effective in treating rheumatism and arthritis when used as an ingredient in massage oils. This is because it has a dual action – it improves local blood circulation and helps expel toxins from the tissues. It is used as an ingredient in deodorants, both due to its spicy fragrance and because it prevents the growth of bacteria. It is also used for digestive problems and menstrual issues. It also inhibits the growth of microbes on the skin because it contains the substances estragole and anethole. It facilitates menstruation and regulates the menstrual cycle. Additionally, it provides relief from problems such as abdominal pain, nausea, fatigue, and discomfort. It stimulates the brain, nervous, digestive, and circulatory systems.

It combines well with the essential oils of Lavender, Lime, Carrot, and Rosewood. Store protected from light, in a cool and dry place.

Attention:

Essential oils are natural, effective, and particularly pleasant to use. Their therapeutic properties can benefit everyone. However, they should be treated like medicines with caution, following the recommended dosage.

  • Essential oils should not be used for ingestion (except for oregano, thyme, basil, and peppermint essential oils) and without a doctor’s advice.
  • During pregnancy, especially during the first 5 months of gestation.
  • By individuals suffering from hypertension.
  • By individuals with severe nervous disorders.
  • On infants (children up to one year old).

Essential oils should be used with caution in the following cases:

  • Some essential oils (e.g., Bergamot, Neroli, Lemon, etc.) can cause skin photosensitivity to ultraviolet rays from the sun. In general, we advise avoiding exposure to strong sunlight for 4 hours after aromatherapy (massage).
  • Essential oils should be used diluted in a carrier oil when coming into contact with the skin. We recommend not using undiluted essential oils on the skin.
  • “Vulnerable” age groups (children and individuals over 60) should use essential oils in reduced proportions.
