With respect to the rich wine tradition of Mount Athos, the monks of the Holy Monastery of Xenophontos make an excellent and attractive red wine from local varieties of Mount Athos.

With deep red color and purple highlights, it stands out for its exuberant aromas and the rich and long aftertaste it leaves in the mouth.

The red wine of the Monastery of Xenophontos perfectly accompanies game and red meats while the bottle is ideally opened one hour before serving at 18° C.

This monastic product is one of the best examples of Mount Athos vineyard, which has made an excellent rise in recent years, in winemaking methods and the excellent varieties it produces, ranking Mount Athos products one step higher in the preference of the buying public.
