On the Holy Mountain of Athos, the main forest trees that offer their flowers or nectar are the pine, fir, oak, various flowers, a mixture of different trees we call forest honey, and the chestnut. Over centuries, bees have formed a harmonious relationship with the forest, producing exceptional honey for us. Notably, the forests of Mount Athos are protected under the NATURA 2000 convention.
