In this icon, Christ Blessing is depicted, with His right hand raised, blessing the faithful.

Jesus Christ gives His blessing to the people, those for whom He came into the world, suffered, and was ultimately crucified. He offered His life to save humanity from sin, corruption, and death. Christ does not deny His blessing to anyone and was always the one who approached not only the righteous but also the fallen, to stand by them and show them the path to God. Therefore, with His hand, He blesses the whole world, demonstrating His boundless love for each individual person.

Mount Athos has been producing high-level and interesting works for years, bringing this historic place closer to people of faith. The unique aesthetic value of this particular icon lies in the old wood, whose cracks testify to its years of life at Mount Athos, while also giving it authenticity.

On the preserved old wood, the icon of Christ Blessing was placed on canvas, which in turn was aged just as it would have been if the wear of time had affected the entire work. The carved halo made of cast iron gives the icon the aesthetic that icons in chapels had a hundred years ago.

Since the icon is handmade and the wood is processed by hand, there may be slight variations in the wood, but not in the depiction.
