A stunning serigraph on naturally aged wood from Mount Athos, depicting the Panagia in the posture of Deesis.

An incredible iconographic theme with the Panagia, the Protector of all humanity, who continually prays and intercedes to Jesus Christ, her Son, for the redemption and salvation of mankind. The Panagia has always been, is, and will continue to be the mediator between Jesus and humanity. She is the one who hears the prayers, struggles, and pains of the faithful, and it is she who conveys them to her Son. This is symbolized in this particular image, with the Theotokos in a posture of Deesis. It is the Panagia, facing Jesus, interceding and praying for the salvation of humanity, to grant His Grace, help them, and remove them from sin so that they may be redeemed.

Two elements combine to form the aesthetic superiority of this image. The first is the impeccably crafted representation by the monk, and the second is the naturally aged wood used as the base for the icon.
