Silk Screen Print of Saint Paisios on Naturally Aged Wood
This beautiful silk screen print depicts Saint Paisios of Mount Athos, widely known for his life and works. He was canonized as a saint by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople on January 13, 2015, and his feast day is celebrated on July 12. In 2017, he was declared the patron saint of the Greek military’s signal corps by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. In his final years, he lived an ascetic life at the Panagouda Monastery on Mount Athos, where he welcomed many visitors seeking his blessing and guidance.
The exceptional quality and aesthetic superiority of this icon come not only from the remarkable work of the monk iconographer but also from the wood used as the base, which is sourced from restored cells on Mount Athos.
Since the image is handmade and the wood is hand-processed, there may be slight variations in the wood, but not in the depiction.
The icon is available upon request.
