Description

Gold Blasting with Saint Spyridon

An amazing gold print depicting Saint Spyridon.

Saint Spyridon was born in 270 AD in Cyprus, and despite his education he became a shepherd, like his parents. After the death of his wife he devoted himself to God, was ordained a priest and later a bishop. Saint Spyridon participated in the First Ecumenical Council, where he vigorously defended the Orthodox faith. In fact, according to tradition, a special event took place at that time. Specifically, while holding a tile in his hand, he made his cross and said “In the name of the Father” and over the tile came a fire, with which it had been baked. When he said, “And of the Son,” water ran down, with which the soil of the tile was kneaded. When he added “and of the Holy Spirit,” he showed in his handful only the soil that remained. Saint Spyridon passed away peacefully on December 12, 350 AD.

Hot-stamping is the method by which very thin metal gold sheet is placed on surfaces such as wood, leather, cardboard, plastic by pressing a heated embossed plate (plate) on our surface. Around the image you also use the technique of sandblasting, it is the technical treatment that achieves the corrosion of part or all of a surface by pouring sand under pressure.
