Description
Lithograph with Archangel Michael
Archangel Michael is the commander of the incorporeal forces, appears as the Commander-in-Chief and has a pivotal role in both the Old and New Testaments, while it is established that he is celebrated as the patron of the Air Force. He is the One who appeared to Abraham at the sacrifice of Isaac.
When Lucifer, who belonged to the angels, rebelled because of his pride against God, an order of angels rejected God and followed him. These angels, along with Lucifer, were persecuted and turned into demons. Then, the Archangel Michael, in humility and submission to God, gathered and united the ranks of angels, calling them “Proschomen”, that is, let us be careful not to fall from light to darkness like Lucifer.
