Amulet Pillow with Saints and Cross – Mount Athos

Description

A classic woven amulet in the shape of a pillow. It is embroidered with gold and silver thread, featuring representations of Saints and a wooden cross. Inside, it holds blessings and includes a metal pin for hanging.

When Elder Paisios was asked about amulets, he said: “Amulets are fabrics of various shapes, square or triangular, which contain different sacred items inside, such as lamp oil, cross-flowers, holy chrism from the consecration of a church or from the white vestments of the bishop who performed the consecration, pieces of relics from the vestments of saints. Apart from the aforementioned amulets, which Christians typically obtain from sacred monasteries, there are also other amulets. However, amulets by themselves do not save unless there is faith in God, accompanied by participation in the sacred mysteries of the Orthodox Church. Amulets are sacred tools for salvation; they are not a fashion. And these amulets also transmit the grace of God.”
