The Meadowsweet Tincture (Melilotus Officinalis) contains the same active ingredients as the dried herb Meadowsweet. In modern herbal medicine, Meadowsweet is primarily used to treat phlebitis, varicose veins, and generally swelling of the extremities, as well as any form of couperose. The main active ingredient in Meadowsweet is coumarin. In the human body, coumarin is metabolized into dicoumarol, a substance with strong anticoagulant and antithrombotic properties. Consuming Meadowsweet improves the return of blood through the veins to the heart, thereby reducing swelling and pain caused by blood accumulation. Meadowsweet is also used externally for eye washes (it has antimicrobial properties) and is said to have mild diuretic effects.

The tincture is created by steeping herbs in an alcoholic solution (grapa), usually over a period of a few weeks. During this, the active ingredients of the herbs dissolve in the alcoholic solution. This specific process results in the tincture retaining all the beneficial properties of the herbs to the fullest.

Herbal drops are highly concentrated herbal extracts in a natural alcoholic solution. They retain all their active ingredients and are completely natural.

Δοσολογία:

15-20 drops in water twice a day for a month. Take a break for ten days and repeat. Shake before use.
