Lavender Tincture (Lavandula Angustifolia) contains the same active ingredients as the dried Lavender herb. In modern herbal therapy, dried Lavender flowers are primarily used to reduce anxiety and tension. Lavender is generally considered to have calming properties and is therefore suitable for cases of melancholy and mild depression. Its extract is regarded by many herbalists as effective in addressing nervous headaches and insomnia. A simple Lavender extract, when applied as a compress to the forehead, is believed to help relieve migraines, tension, and fatigue. Additionally, some researchers consider it to have hypotensive properties—a cup of Lavender tea before bedtime is said to “lower” blood pressure and reduce heart palpitations during the night.

Lavender is believed to possess strong antimicrobial properties, making it ideal for healing minor wounds, cuts, and similar issues. At the same time, it is suitable for “cleansing” the skin in cases of acne, eczema, and other dermatological conditions. Traditionally, it has been used to combat chest infections such as coughs, asthma, and bronchitis, as well as in cases of colds or flu, often in the form of inhalations.

Its antibacterial and antiseptic properties are thought to grant Lavender anthelmintic capabilities, meaning it can be used to combat intestinal parasites. Lavender essential oil, when used in massage, relaxes the muscles and alleviates neuralgic and rheumatic pain.

Lavender is widely regarded as one of the 20 most important medicinal herbs.

The tincture is created by steeping herbs in an alcoholic solution (grapa), usually over a period of a few weeks. During this, the active ingredients of the herbs dissolve in the alcoholic solution. This specific process results in the tincture retaining all the beneficial properties of the herbs to the fullest.

Herbal drops are highly concentrated herbal extracts in a natural alcoholic solution. They retain all their active ingredients and are completely natural.

Δοσολογία:

15-20 drops in water twice a day for a month. Take a break for ten days and repeat. Shake before use.
