Description

Properties:

Tincture of Bear (Arctium Lappa) or Lappas or Platomantila or Burdock stands out for its large, dark green, leaves (they can reach 70cm in length). The thorny upper parts of the plant “trap” the fluff and are said to have been the inspiration for the construction of Velcro. Useful parts of the plant are the root, leaves and seeds.

Its name comes from the Greek word arktos (bear) and was considered quite effective as a general tonic from antiquity to the Middle Ages on a global scale. Interesting are the reports of Culpepper (1653) who writes that in combination with the seeds of pine cones helps those who spit dirt, pus and blood. It also claimed that its leaves were mashed with egg white and placed in the burnt parts, They remove warmth, immediately soften pain and help heal.

Bear leaves are

currently mainly used to treat skin diseases such as psoriasis, acne and eczema. The leaves are used externally as a poultice. Their intense antimicrobial action (due to the polyacetylins they contain) as well as their antioxidant properties effectively help treat even severe cases of dermatosis.

Burdock leaves contain acrtiol, fuquinone and taraxasterol. In the case of tincture, Platomantila leaves are thought to stimulate the digestive system by stimulating bile secretion.

What is Tincture:

The tincture is created by soaking herbs in an alcoholic solution (grappa), usually for a period of a few weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herbs are dissolved in the alcoholic solution. This process results in the tincture retaining to the fullest all the beneficial properties of the herbs.

Herbal drops are highly concentrated herbal extracts in a natural alcoholic solution. They retain all their active ingredients and are completely natural.
