St. John’s wort oil or St. John’s wort oil: Beneficial properties

St. John’s wort oil has been recognized since antiquity until today for its many beneficial properties. It is made from sedge which is one of the most important flowers of the Greek fauna. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent and healing properties. It is recommended for healing wounds, bruises and burns of the first degree.

It helps significantly in the treatment of rheumatic and joint pains as well as sciatica. It also helps treat stomach upset, gastroenteritis, mild ulcers and stomachaches.

St. John’s wort oil or St. John’s Wort Oil: Use

St. John’s wort oil is used for spreading or lightly rubbing the part that hurts. We can even saturate a gauze with St. John’s wort oil and apply topical dressings. It is excellent for relaxing or analgesic massage.

St. John’s wort oil can also be used as drinking. It is recommended to be drunk in cases of colitis, painful digestion and other stomach disorders.

If added to beeswax ointment, it becomes especially effective against cataclysms.

St. John’s wort oil: dosage

For stomach problems, it is recommended to consume one tablespoon every morning or, alternatively, one teaspoon in the morning before eating and one in the evening before bedtime, for a couple of weeks.

For St. John’s wort oil coatings:

We clean the area where the problem exists. Then spread a sufficient amount of St. John’s wort oil and leave it for half to an hour to be absorbed. It is used daily, two to three times a day, until the problem is eliminated.

 

It is advisable not to use St. John’s wort oil without consulting a doctor, especially by people with hypertension.
