Description

The birch is a tree that can grow up to 15 meters tall and has been known for its medicinal properties for hundreds of years. It is characterized by its white, papery bark, which peels off in layers.

For therapeutic purposes, the young leaves, buds, sap collected from the trunk, and bark of the birch tree are used.
In 1565, the Italian physician Matthiole wrote: “If you drill into the trunk of the birch tree, a large amount of liquid will come out, which is highly valuable for kidney stones and bladder issues when taken over time. This liquid removes facial blemishes and makes the skin beautiful. If you rinse your mouth with it, it heals mouth ulcers.”

Properties:
It acts as a diuretic, antiseptic, and tonic. The leaves of the birch are an effective remedy for cystitis and other inflammations and infections of the urinary system.
It can be used for gout, rheumatism, and mild arthritic pain.
Because the leaves are rich in potassium, their use as diuretics does not cause potassium depletion, unlike pharmaceutical diuretics.
The bark of the plant, in addition to being a diuretic, stimulates digestion and has antipyretic properties.
Birch is highly effective for skin conditions, particularly for dark spots and ringworm.

Externally, it soothes muscle pain and is beneficial for eczema and psoriasis.
Birch sap is a clear, slightly frothy liquid that also has detoxifying properties and is used for treating arthritis.
It helps reduce uric acid levels in the body, which is the factor responsible for the condition of gout.

Excellent for weight loss as well.
