Description

Agrimony is a truly valuable plant that grows in all climates.

Agrimony is astringent and healing for wounds, swellings, bruises, and sprains. It is a remedy for chronic pharyngitis, diarrhea (its tea), and even diabetes. The great medicinal properties of the plant were recognized by ancient doctors, who used it for chronic liver diseases, jaundice, hematuria, and (as a gargle) for throat irritations and ulcers. When used externally as a wash, it helps with conjunctivitis and leucorrhea.

It is also used as an alternative to tea, due to its pleasant aroma and its properties against migraines and indigestion. Agrimony is also effective against colic, vomiting, and cough, while its decoction is helpful for asthma patients and for skin conditions, bronchial diseases, and rheumatism. Finally, agrimony is beneficial for liver and spleen disorders and for ulcers of the digestive tract.

Methods of Use:

For gargles, boil 100 g of dried agrimony leaves in 1 liter of water until only 1/3 of the liquid remains, then add 50 g of honey.

For internal use, an infusion of the leaves is used (5-15 g in 500 g of boiling water) or an extract of the plant (1 part to 2 parts water).

● Due to its diuretic properties, it is incredibly effective for urinary tract infections.
● Acts favorably in cases of rheumatism and arthritis.
