Lemon Verbena essential oil is a completely natural product. It is prepared using a monastic recipe to preserve all its valuable components intact and has a sweet, fresh, lemon-like fruity scent.
Lemon Verbena Essential Oil: Properties
The essential oil of Lemon Verbena has antioxidant, calming, and tonic properties and is used for detoxifying the body.
It is mainly used in aromatherapy as a relaxant and sedative for situations of intense stress and anxiety. It helps with insomnia, digestive issues, depression, and stress, acting as a relaxant, antispasmodic, and sedative. It rejuvenates and improves mood, combats fatigue, and promotes well-being. It strengthens the immune system and helps reduce fever. It also helps relieve joint pain.
In cosmetics, it is used to correct imperfections in oily skin, fights acne, reduces blackheads, tones, and gives a radiant glow to the skin.

- Essential oils should not be used for ingestion (except for oregano, thyme, basil, and peppermint essential oils) and without a doctor’s advice
- During pregnancy, particularly in the first 5 months of gestation.
- By people who suffer from hypertension.
- By people with serious neurological disorders.
- On infants (children up to one year old).
Essential oils should be used with caution in the following cases:
- Some essential oils (e.g., Bergamot, Orange, Lemon, etc.) can cause skin photosensitivity to ultraviolet rays from the sun. Generally, we advise avoiding intense sun exposure for 4 hours after aromatherapy (massage).
- Essential oils should be used diluted in a base (e.g., carrier oil) when applied to the skin. We recommend not using undiluted essential oils on the skin.
- “Vulnerable” age groups (children and people over 60) should use essential oils in reduced proportions.
