Description

The essential oil is derived from the peel of the orange fruit. It has a sweet or sweet-tart taste and is more or less aromatic depending on the variety and quality. Orange is rich in vitamin C. It also contains sugars, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin A.

Properties: It has antibacterial, antiseptic, antioxidant, disinfectant, tonic, regenerative, and antipyretic properties. It strengthens the immune system and helps in the treatment of the common cold.

It is also a good calming and relaxing agent for fighting stress, depression, nervousness, insomnia, and other conditions related to the nervous system’s function.

The aroma of orange essential oil invigorates the tired body and eliminates unnecessary tension.

It helps reduce age spots and improves skin tone. It is ideal for dry and mature skin and helps in combating cellulite.

It can be used in aromatherapy in massage oils to remove toxins from the body, reduce tension, and boost circulation.

It can be added to cosmetic products to help detoxify, reduce skin irritation and inflammation, and restore collagen in the skin. It strengthens the skin’s defense against environmental pollution, giving it glow and vitality.

Warning:

Essential oils are natural, effective, and particularly pleasant to use. Their therapeutic properties can benefit everyone. However, they should be treated like medicines with caution and care, following the recommended dosage.

  • Essential oils should not be used for ingestion (except for oregano, thyme, basil, and mint essential oils) and only under the advice of a doctor.
  • During pregnancy, especially in the first 5 months of gestation.
  • By individuals who suffer from hypertension.
  • By individuals with severe neurological disorders.
  • On infants (children under one year old).

Essential oils should be used with caution in the following cases:

  • Some essential oils (e.g., Bergamot, Neroli, Lemon, etc.) can cause photosensitivity to UV rays from the sun. Generally, it is advised to avoid exposure to strong sunlight for 4 hours after aromatherapy (massage).
  • Essential oils should be used diluted in a carrier oil when in contact with the skin. We recommend not using undiluted essential oils directly on the skin.
  • “Vulnerable” age groups (children and people over 60) should use essential oils in reduced proportions.
