Description

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense essential oil is a completely natural product. It is prepared using a monastic recipe to preserve all its valuable components intact.

Frankincense is a small, beautiful tree from which aromatic resin (gum) oozes from cuts made on its trunk. This resin is white when fresh and turns an orange-brown color when dried. The essential oil of frankincense is derived through steam distillation of the tree’s resin and has a sweet, warm, oily scent reminiscent of lemon, with a light touch of camphor.

Frankincense Essential Oil: Properties

Frankincense essential oil has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and astringent properties.

Frankincense is effective in boosting the immune system, opening the airways in cases of illness such as colds, bronchitis, cough, shortness of breath, relieving arthritis pain, rheumatism, and injuries, helping with wounds and ulcers that are difficult to heal, alleviating skin itching, removing scars and stretch marks, and aiding digestion.

Additionally, it is used to rejuvenate tired skin, balance oily skin with acne, and is one of the most effective essential oils for addressing fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots.

Furthermore, in aromatherapy, it is known for promoting self-concentration, while also helping combat stress and tension. Finally, its scent is excellent for eliminating unpleasant odors in a space.

Warning: For external use only.

Essential oils are natural, effective, and highly pleasant to use. Their therapeutic properties can benefit anyone. However, they should be treated like medications with care and caution, following the recommended dosage.

  • Essential oils should not be used for ingestion (except for oregano, thyme, basil, and peppermint essential oils) and without a doctor’s advice
  • During pregnancy, particularly in the first 5 months of gestation.
  • By people who suffer from hypertension.
  • By people with serious neurological disorders.
  • On infants (children up to one year old).

Essential oils should be used with caution in the following cases:

  • Some essential oils (e.g., Bergamot, Orange, Lemon, etc.) can cause skin photosensitivity to ultraviolet rays from the sun. Generally, we advise avoiding intense sun exposure for 4 hours after aromatherapy (massage).
  • Essential oils should be used diluted in a base (e.g., carrier oil) when applied to the skin. We recommend not using undiluted essential oils on the skin.
  • “Vulnerable” age groups (children and people over 60) should use essential oils in reduced proportions.

For external use only.
