Description

Clove Essential Oil

Clove essential oil is a completely natural product made using a monastic recipe. The therapeutic properties of the plant have been known since ancient times. The Ancient Greeks and Romans used it for toothache relief, while the Chinese used it to combat bad breath.
The essential oil of clove is obtained through distillation of its leaves and has a warm, sweet, and spicy fragrance.

Clove Essential Oil: Properties

Due to its strong antiseptic properties, clove essential oil is widely used to prevent and treat various infectious diseases, such as oral infections, foot ulcers, and skin inflammations, particularly after insect bites. Additionally, it successfully addresses digestive disorders, such as indigestion and bloating (gas), and, thanks to its potent antiviral and antibacterial properties, it combats the flu, intense coughing, tonsillitis, and fever.

It also significantly helps in relieving sore muscles and joint pain from arthritis and rheumatism, and is particularly effective in combating toothaches. When used as an addition to cosmetics, it helps regenerate the skin and reduce wrinkles, expression lines, and acne. Furthermore, when diffused in the air, it helps with headaches, coughing, asthma, and anxiety.

Attention:

Essential oils are natural, effective, and especially pleasant to use. Their therapeutic properties can benefit everyone. However, they should be treated as medicines with caution, following the recommended dosage.

  • Essential oils should not be used for ingestion (except for oregano, thyme, basil, and mint essential oils) without the advice of a doctor.
  • During pregnancy, especially in the first 5 months of gestation.
  • By people who suffer from hypertension.
  • By people with severe nerve disorders.
  • On infants (children under one year old).

Essential oils should be used with caution in the following cases:

  • Some essential oils (e.g., Bergamot, Neroli, Lemon, etc.) can cause skin photosensitivity to UV rays. Generally, it is advised to avoid exposure to strong sunlight for 4 hours after aromatherapy (massage).
  • Essential oils should be used diluted in a base (e.g., carrier oil) when applied to the skin. It is recommended not to use undiluted essential oils on the skin.
  • “Vulnerable” age groups (children and individuals over 60) should use essential oils in reduced proportions.
