Description

Essential Oil Sage

Essential oil sage, a completely natural product made with a monastic recipe. One of the most well-known characteristics of sage is that it is considered a powerful relaxant and has the ability to combat stress and tension while providing a sense of euphoria. In fact, sage has been known since ancient times for its ability to ease worries. It has antibiotic, antifungal, antispasmodic, and hypoglycemic properties, and is also used as an antidiarrheal.

Essential Oil Sage: Properties

Sage is recommended for cases of depression, anxiety, insomnia, and general tension, while its inhalation has mucolytic and decongestant effects, making it ideal for colds. Sage essential oil is used for muscle pain, back pain, and cramps, as it invigorates and rejuvenates. Additionally, it improves memory and the process of information processing. Furthermore, it enhances the color of dark and gray hair, strengthens and adds shine to dry and sensitive hair, and acts as an astringent for the skin.

Usage Instructions

It can act as a relaxant if 2-3 drops are added to massage oil or body lotion. It can also be added to face creams to balance sebum production or incorporated into shampoos to revive the natural hair color. Adding 3-4 drops to bathwater can help relax, while adding 2-3 drops to a bowl of hot water for inhalation can ease breathing.
However, it is important to know that essential oils should never be applied directly to the skin undiluted but should be added to carrier oils. A safe dosage is up to 5 drops of essential oil per 10 ml of carrier oil.

Warning:

Essential oils are natural, effective, and particularly pleasant to use. Their therapeutic properties can benefit everyone. However, they should be treated like medicines with caution and care, following the recommended dosage.

  • Essential oils should not be used for ingestion (except for oregano, thyme, basil, and peppermint oils) and without medical advice.
  • During pregnancy, especially in the first 5 months of gestation.
  • By individuals suffering from hypertension.
  • By individuals with severe nervous disorders.
  • On infants (children under one year of age).

Essential oils should be used with caution in the following cases:

  • Some essential oils (e.g., Bergamot, Neroli, Lemon, etc.) can cause skin photosensitivity to ultraviolet sunlight. In general, we advise avoiding exposure to intense sunlight for 4 hours after aromatherapy (massage).
  • Essential oils should be diluted in a carrier (e.g., base oil) when coming into contact with the skin. We recommend not using undiluted essential oils directly on the skin.
  • “Sensitive” age groups (children and individuals over 60) should use essential oils in reduced ratios.
