Trahanas with yogurt is a genuine monastic product. It is made according to a traditional recipe by the nuns at the Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos, who using pure raw materials create excellent handmade pasta of excellent quality. Trahanas can be eaten as a complete meal or used as an accompaniment to meat or vegetable recipes. Keep this product in a dry and cool place.

Like any pasta, it is high in complex carbohydrates, contains vitamins and proteins, while lovers of traditional and authentic flavors will especially appreciate this product. At the same time, its high phosphorus content helps protect the body from osteoporosis. The carotenoid lutein it contains helps in good skin, eye and heart health. Trahanas with yogurt is a complete, tasty and nutritious meal that stimulates the body and gives energy. Monastic frumenty with yogurt contains durum wheat flour (contains gluten), semolina (contains gluten), 30% yogurt from mixed sheep – goat milk and salt.

Cooking mode

To make one serving, boil 500ml of water, adding a little salt and half a teaspoon of butter. Add 100 gr. trahana and mix. In about 10 minutes (after a strong boil) add a little milk, let it come to a boil and remove it from the heat.
