Although our country is rich in oak forests, this honey variety is considered rare.

On the Holy Mountain of Athos, the main forest trees that offer their flowers or nectar are the pine, fir, oak, various flowers, a mixture of different trees we call forest honey, and the chestnut. Through the passage of time, the bees have established a harmonious relationship with the forest, providing us with exceptional honey. It is also noteworthy that the forests of Mount Athos are protected by the NATURA 2000 convention.
