Description
Serigraph of Saint Mina on Naturally Aged Wood
A beautiful serigraph on naturally aged wood featuring the depiction of Saint Mina. The Orthodox Church has given him the title “Great Martyr,” and his feast day is celebrated on November 11th.
Two elements contribute to the distinct aesthetics of this particular icon, created by an Athonite monk. One is the flawlessly executed depiction of Saint Mina, and the second is the naturally aged wood used as the base of the icon, which comes from the Garden of the Virgin Mary. The cracks running across its surface serve as irrefutable evidence of its age, showing the years it has been used in the daily life of the Athonite monks.
Since the icon is handmade and the wood processing is done by hand, there may be slight variations in the wood, but not in the depiction.
The icon is available upon order.
