The image of the Holy Trinity stands out for its inspiration and the uniqueness of its design. At the center, the three persons of the Holy Trinity are depicted: the Father, as an elderly man, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, in an abstract style. The three persons are surrounded by angelic forces.

The figures of the Son and the Father are adorned with hammered halos. These details reflect the personal craftsmanship of the monk who created the icon.

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is the foundation and basis of Orthodox faith and truth. When we say we believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we do not mean that we believe in three gods, but one. One God who has one Essence in three Hypostases.

The image of the Holy Trinity on canvas is unique. Its distinctiveness lies both in the complex depiction of the Holy Trinity and in the aged wood on which it is placed. This wood was used for many years in a cell on Mount Athos. When the time came for the cell to be renovated, the monks did not throw away the old wood. They carefully preserved it, aging it using techniques they apply to carved wooden altarpieces, and transformed it into an icon.

This wood, after being cut, was aged through different methods that halted the decay of time, without altering the charm of its age. With great care, the canvas was placed on it. Thus, the life journey of the wood continues, still being used by mankind for the glory of God. Thanks to the wisdom of the monks, the decaying and aged wood gains new life. It is transformed into a medium that praises the greatness of God, as it depicts His image.
