Description

Saint Gerasimos the Jordanian was an ascetic of the 5th century AD, who is honored as a saint by the Orthodox and Catholic Churches.
Saint Gerasimos was born between 376 and 391 AD. in Myra of Lycia. The upbringing given to him from an early age was Christian, in accordance with the teachings of the Orthodox Church. As he grew up, he himself took care of his soul and the cultivation of his virtues, since he experienced from a young age the goods of a solitary life. Gradually, his respect and love for God pushed him to leave the worldly life and officially live as a monk.
