A wonderful icon with the representation of the Holy Trinity. A special composition, full of symbolism, which as a theme is mainly located in the post-Byzantine times. It is the representation of the three Persons of the Holy Trinity, namely the Father, the Son, depicted from His right hand and the Holy Spirit.

In this depiction of the Trinity, we see God the Father appearing as an old figure with white hair and beard. Jesus, the Son of God, sitting next to him. And the Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove, flying among them.

The Holy Trinity is the name given to the totality of God’s hypostases in Christianity. That is, God is One Trinitarian, because He has one substance (nature), and three persons (hypostases). The three persons or hypostases are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which are indivisible and consubstantial. This is also known as the Trinitarian Doctrine.

Sandblasted Gold Printing: Features

In the icon with the representation of the Holy Trinity, the hagiographer monk used the technique of gold printing creating a work of unique beauty. Gold-stamping is a kind of hot-stamping technique. Hot-stamping is the method by which very thin metal foil is glued on surfaces such as wood, leather, cardboard, plastic by pressing a heated embossed plate (plate) on our surface. Around the image you also use the technique of sandblasting, it is the technical treatment that achieves the corrosion of part or all of a surface by pouring sand under pressure.
