An exact replica of the original icon painted on canvas. A beautiful image depicting Saint Panteleimon, who was born in Nicomedia in Asia Minor. The cause of his martyrdom was a miracle he performed. Specifically, he healed a blind man, who reported the event to the king, stating that after his healing, he himself believed in God. The king ordered the beheading of the healed blind man and commanded that Saint Panteleimon be brought before him.

Saint Panteleimon was brought before the king, who ordered him to be tortured to renounce his faith. However, he did not give in, as the Lord appeared before him to give him courage. In the end, the king ordered his beheading. According to tradition, no blood flowed from his wounds, but milk, and the olive tree where he had been tied suddenly bore fruit.

In the technique of printing on canvas, the monk iconographer used a replica of a Byzantine icon and worked on the piece with embossed elements. The creation of the icon is entirely hand-crafted with an aging technique. The canvas is impregnated with plaster so that the image retains its colors unchanged over time.
