Description
Icon of the Contemporary Holy Elders on Naturally Aged Wood
There have always been, there are, and there will always be saints who serve as living examples and role models in the turbulent lives of people. Saints who inspire with their faith, asceticism, and perseverance. The two contemporary holy elders of our times, Saint Paisios of Mount Athos (July 12) and Saint Porphyrios of Kafsokalivia (December 2), are the luminous guides in the darkness of the difficulties and temptations faced by people daily.
Through their deep faith, ascetic practices, and patience, they earned not only eternity but also a place among the saints of the Orthodox Church. Enlightened by the Holy Spirit and endowed with the gift of foresight, they served as spiritual oases for the countless people who were blessed to visit them and converse with them.
As the icon is handcrafted and the wood is processed manually, slight variations in the wood may occur, but not in the depiction itself.
The icon is available upon request.
