Description
Χειροποίητη Αγιογραφία Επάνω σε φυσικό ξύλο ελιάς από τα Χέρια Μοναχού του Αγίου Όρους
An exceptional icon painting depicting the Virgin Heptaspathi, crafted entirely by hand on natural olive wood.
This particular iconography has been crafted by the Agioreite father Vasilios, based on Byzantine iconography standards. The depiction of the Virgin Mary has been painted entirely by hand. Coating the hagiography with pure beeswax ensures that the colors of the image remain unchanged over time.
Παναγία Επτάσπαθη
The miraculous icon “I have loosed the Hard Hearts” has the grace to protect whoever invokes it, to stop any evil that threatens not only a believer but also the whole family.
In this most unusual image, the Virgin Mary is depicted, at a young age, with three spears on the right shoulder, three on the left and a seventh piercing her heart below, which are held by her hands.
The meaning of each of the seven spears is the subduing of a manifestation of the “wicked one”:
1st : WITCHCRAFT, negative influences-temptations
2nd : DISEASES – mental and psychological disorders
3rd : Problems related to MARRIAGE, FERTILITY and CHILDREN
4th : PERSONAL ACCIDENTS (accidents, dangers from travel etc.)
5th: BASCANIA, LINGUISTICS, EVIL EYE, CURSE
6th: MISTAKES, INJUSTICES and SCAMS of all kinds
As the image is handmade and the wood is processed by hand, there may be slight variations in the wood, but not in the illustration.
Image is available upon request.
