A handmade porcelain with the image of Holy Mary Odegetria, crafted entirely by hand.

The icon depicting the Virgin Guide is historically the first icon of the Church. It has been crafted by the Evangelist Luke himself.

According to tradition, the Evangelist Luke created the image of the Virgin while she was alive. In fact, the Virgin received her with great joy and blessed her saying “the grace of what was done for me be with her”.

The icon of Holy Mary Odegetria was saved in Palestine. When Theodosius II was king, it was sent to Constantinople by Empress Eudokia as a gift to Theodosius’ sister, Saint Pulcheria. Saint Pulcheria deposited her in the monastery she had built, the holy monastery of the Guides.

A copy of this historical image is located in the holy monastery of Xenophon on Mount Athos.
