A wonderful aged lithograph. This icon depicts Christ Blessed, who with His right hand raised blesses the faithful. Jesus Christ gives His blessing to people, to those for whom He came into the world, suffered, and was finally crucified. He offered his life to save and save man from sin, corruption, and death. Christ does not deny anyone his blessing, and He was the One who always single-handedly approached not only the righteous, but also the misguided to stand beside them and show them God’s way. With his hand, therefore, he blesses the whole world, showing his boundless love for each and every one of them.

Lithograph: Features

This particular icon with the representation of Christ has been created with the technique of lithography. This technique is taught in the hagiography workshops of Mount Athos and is also used by several monks to create exceptional works of art. In this particular case, the hagiographer monk used a lithographed copy of Byzantine art and created this work following the traditional method of artificial aging. He thus created a wonderful work with unique aesthetic value.
