The *Christ Blessing* icon is an exceptional example of the ingenuity and skill of the monks of Mount Athos, as the wood used for the silkscreen was once part of a cell that underwent renovation.

The figure of Christ is framed by a beautifully crafted silver-toned halo, with His right hand raised in blessing.

Jesus Christ offers His blessing to humanity, for whom He came into the world, suffered, and was ultimately crucified. He gave His life to save humanity from sin, corruption, and death.

The wood’s natural grain, cracks, knots, protrusions, and other characteristics remain intact. The color palette respects the wood’s age and faithfully reflects the Byzantine tradition of Mount Athos. Each icon is unique, as is the wood on which it is crafted.

As the icon is handmade and the wood is processed manually, slight variations in the wood may occur, but the depiction itself remains unchanged.
