Archangel Michael
Archangel Michael appears as Commander-in-Chief and has a pivotal role in both the Old and New Testaments.

He was the one who saved the angelic forces from falling with the “Proschomen!” We stand well, we stand after fear.” For his impudence, the Triune God gave him the position of “Lord of the Angelic Orders”, Chief General and Brigade Commander. He exclaimed with all the angels the Trisagion Hymn, “Holy, Holy, Holy Lord of Sabaoth, heaven and earth are full of his glory.” In addition, it is believed that by God’s order the Protoplasts were expelled from Paradise by the Archangel Michael.
He was the one who announced to Abraham the need to sacrifice his son Isaac and who then prevented it. He was the one who appeared to Lot, and he rescued him and his family from the destruction of Sodom and also to Jacob when he saved him from his brother Esau, who wanted to kill him.. Also the Brigader Michael was the one who led the people of Israel in the flight from Egypt appearing in the form of cloud by day and fire by night leading them to the Promised Land.
In the New Testament, He is the one who will announce the second coming of Jesus Christ. He appears prophetically leading an army of angels in war in heaven, against “the great Dragon, the ancient serpent, Satan” and demons.
It has been established that he is celebrated as the patron saint of the Air Force. He is usually depicted holding a spear, however in several representations he also holds a scepter, a symbol of the authority granted to him by God.
