Every Christian has from his baptism a good angel, who stands at his right hand and advises him in every work pleasing to God.

He is indeed tender, modest, meek, teaches the human heart justice and the way to good. And other fathers of the church teach us that a necessary condition for the guardian angel to stay next to man is the holy life, otherwise he is removed due to wicked and sinful works. The Guardian Angel also secretly directs his steps to all good and removes him as much as is permissible from evil and sin.But he does not simply stand as a protector of the soul and body of man, but becomes one in Holy Spirit with this soul, that is why he is in pain and anguish for the soul that was given to him. This angel comforts in sorrows, helps in pain, sympathizes with man, leads him to repentance and protects him from visible and invisible enemies.
