On one side of the amulet, the monk has created reliefs representing the Virgin Mary of Gorgoypikoos. The icon of Panagia Gorgoypikoos has been in the Holy Monastery of Dochiari on Mount Athos since 1646. And as the monks mention, the Virgin Mary took this name because she quickly obeys the prayers of those who come to Her with faith and love. In fact, on the back side of the amulet there is the name of the Holy Monastery of Dochiari, where the miraculous icon is located.
