Gold plated silver neck amulet
An impressive amulet worked with art and passion by a silversmith monk of Mount Athos and made entirely of pure silver925o , while it has a gilded border. The monk paid special attention to the details and the small prayer he has carved on one side of the amulet just below Jesus Christ. This particular piece of jewelry has the peculiarity that it can be worn on both sides.
Artwork from Mount Athos : What it depicts
On one side of the amulet is the Virgin Mary the Seven-Sword. The representation is so detailed that the seven swords piercing the heart of the Virgin Mary can be seen. In fact, according to a Russian tradition, the Virgin Mary of Eptaspathi protects against torture. On the second side of the jewelry there is a relief representation of Jesus Christ, while just below is engraved the phrase “LORD JESUS CHRIST HAVE MERCY ON ME”, which is essentially a small prayer.
