Hollow neck cross made of pure silver

A hollow cross made of pure silver 925o, which has been given special attention to its last^detail, crafted by monks who have been taught the art of silversmithing. Its characteristic is that it is a hollow cross, which opens in two, revealing a recess inside ideal for placing a small piece of cotton soaked in myrrh or even relics of saints. A cross worn on both sides and also used as an amulet.

Artwork from Mount Athos : What it depicts

On one side of the cross there is a relief representation in standing position of Archangel Michael, the commander of the disembodied forces, while at the four ends of the cross there are representations of Saints Spyridon, Nicholas, Panteleimon and John the Baptist. On the reverse side the monk has created the Crucified, while on the side there is engraved twice the phrase “LORD JESUS CHRIST SON OF GOD”. A wonderful gift for friends and family.
