Description

Monastic Prayer Rope with 33 Knots

The Tama Prayer Rope is an authentic monastic handiwork. Following the centuries-old tradition, the monks prayerfully make handmade rosaries that carry their blessings. Its knots number 33. It stands out thanks to the quality of its materials and the emphasis on details during its construction. The Monastic Prayer Rope can be worn by hand and used by Christians as an aid during prayer but also as an offering, as a vow, to the Virgin Mary or to a saint of Orthodoxy.

What is the Offering Prayer Rope made of?

Its 33 knots are made of woolen thread. On the Tama Rosary hangs a silver cross, which is made of silver 925o and on its front side, bears a relief representation of the Resurrection of the Lord. On its reverse side, it bears the initials IC XC NI KA and an inscription in the Slavonic ecclesiastical language. The Offering Rosary also consists of two black beads located to the left and right of the silver cross.

The Offering: What is it and when is it done?

The Offering is an ancient custom, a custom of centuries, of believers all over the world. We find it in all historical periods, in many religions. In the Orthodox faith and tradition, Christians make a vow to a saint, to the Virgin Mary or to Christ, as an offering, as a return for answering their prayers. In return for the help, the grace they received from them.

The faithful usually give the saints or the Virgin Mary large candles, gold or silver icons, their jewelry or other objects made of precious materials. When the saints or the Virgin Mary respond to their prayer request and fulfill their wish, believers dedicate what they have given to the church or to a specific icon. All that believers usually offer are called votive offerings or votive offerings.
