The cross serves as a shield against the attacks of the devil. The Cross ceased to be a symbol of shame and disgrace because upon it hung God Himself, transforming it into a trophy of victory and triumph, into God’s throne, for an eternal and true Kingdom.

This particular handmade wooden cross from Mount Athos, crafted with the skill and blessing of the Athonite fathers, retains the simplicity and modesty that characterize the symbol of our faith.

The cross features a smaller carved cross at its center, and all the beads are wooden, in a dark brown color.
