Description

Wooden hanging amulet with Saints Constantine and Helen

A wonderful wood-carved amulet from Mount Athos with a relief representation of Saints Constantine and Helen.

It is an elegant & handy handiwork made in linden or cherry wood, by monks with great skill in wood processing. In a relatively small size and with a well-thought-out construction (thanks to the cord on top), it can be placed anywhere in the house, in the car or even in a bag, so that the believer feels that he always has the Grace and protection of the Saints close to him.

At the same time, it can be a very beautiful gift for the people we love.

On the back is the exact name of the representation.

Saints Constantine and Helen (21 May)

According to tradition, when Constantine the Great clashed with Maxentius, he began to pray to God, raising his right hand and begging Him to reveal Himself to him. Then he saw in heaven the trophy of the Cross, which read “in this victory,” and that same evening the Lord appeared in his sleep. Thus, Constantine, having as his flag the Christian banner, begins to march towards Rome, eliminating all resistance. It is characteristic that after his baptism, Saint Constantine did not wear the imperial tunic again, but remained dressed in the white garment of baptism until the day of his repose in 337 AD.

His mother, Saint Helena, showed her piety with many benefactions and the building of new Churches in Rome, Constantinople, Bethlehem and on the Mount of Olives. She herself went to Jerusalem in 326 AD, where she painstakingly found the Holy Cross, as well as the crosses of the two robbers, who were killed along with Jesus. Saint Helena slept peacefully in 327 AD at the age of eighty. Her son carried her holy relic to Constantinople and buried her in the church of the Holy Apostles.
