Amulet Pillow with bib Blue – Mount Athos

Description

A classic woven amulet in the shape of a cushion. Crafted from gold thread and silver thread, it forms a cross on both sides. It has blessings inside and has a metal hairpin to hang it up.

Elder Paisios, when asked about amulets, said: “Amulets are cloths of various shapes, squares or triangles, which contain various sanctifying items, candlestick oil, crucifixes, wax mastic from the opening of the temple or from the white uniform of the high priest who performed the opening, pieces of relics from vestments of saints. Besides the above talismans which our Christians usually get from the holy monasteries there are also other talismans. However, amulets alone do not save, if there is no faith in God, accompanied by participation in the holy mysteries of the Orthodox Church. Amulets are holy means of salvation, not fashion. And these talismans are also transmitters of God’s grace.”
