Archangel Michael (8 November)

Archangel Michael is one of the four angels mentioned by name in the Bible. When Lucifer, who belonged to the angels, rebelled because of his pride against God, an order of angels defected and followed him. These angels, along with Lucifer, were persecuted and turned into demons. Then, the Archangel Michael, with humility and submission to God, gathered and united the ranks of the angels, shouting to them “Proschomen”, that is, let us be careful not to fall from light into darkness like Lucifer.
