Description

Carved Wooden Hanging Amulet with Saint Savvas

A wonderful wood-carved amulet from Mount Athos with a relief representation of Saint Savvas the Sanctified.

It is an elegant & handy handiwork made in linden or cherry wood, by monks with great skill in wood processing. In a relatively small size and with a well-thought-out construction (thanks to the cord on top), it can be placed anywhere in the house, in the car or even in a bag, so that the believer feels that he always has the Grace and protection of the Saint close to him.

At the same time, it can be a very beautiful gift for the people we love.

On the back is the exact name of the representation.

Saint Savvas, the Sanctified (5 December)

Saint Savvas came from Cappadocia and from a very young age decided to dedicate himself to monastic life. In fact, he had so much faith that he once entered a furnace with fire from which he came out unharmed with God’s help. According to tradition, Saint Savvas was known for his miracles, which mainly concerned the poor and sick. Because of his holiness and his excellent reputation as a human being, he was twice sent by the Patriarch of Jerusalem as ambassador to Constantinople, to King Anastasius and then to Justinian. He died at the age of ninety-four in 534 A.D.3
