Description

Wooden hanging amulet with Saint Panteleimon

A wonderful wood-carved amulet from Mount Athos with a relief representation of Saint Panteleimon.

It is an elegant & handy handiwork made in linden or cherry wood, by monks with great skill in wood processing. In a relatively small size and with a well-thought-out construction (thanks to the cord on top), it can be placed anywhere in the house, in the car or even in a bag, so that the believer feels that he always has the Grace and protection of the Saint close to him.

At the same time, it can be a very beautiful gift for the people we love.

On the back is the exact name of the representation.

Saint Panteleimon (27 July)

Saint Panteleimon (Panteleon the former name) came from Nicomedia in Asia Minor and lived in the time of Maximian. He was trained in medicine by Euphrosynus and was indoctrinated in the Christian faith and baptized by the elder Ermolaos.
The occasion of his martyrdom was two miraculous healings of the Saint. The king, having learned this, ordered his torture in order to deny his faith.  The Saint, after being cruelly tortured in various ways, was finally beheaded. Then there was a voice from heaven calling him not as Panteleon but as Panteleimon.  It is said that blood did not flow from his wound but milk and the olive tree, to which he had been tied, suddenly bore fruit.
