Agia Marina (17 July)

Agia Marina was born in Antioch, Pisidia. At the age of 15, she revealed to her father that she was a Christian, prompting him to kick her out of the house. She was arrested, interrogated and subjected to horrific torture in order to renounce her faith, but the young girl never denied Christ. He was finally beheaded at the age of 16 on July 17, 286 A.D. In Andros there is one of the most famous pilgrimages of Agia Marina.
