What Koliva Symbolize

Specifically, the wheat represents the souls, the blanched almonds symbolize the bare bones, and the nuts represent life that is reproduced, while the breadcrumbs and flour symbolize the light earth. For Christians, the pomegranate symbolizes the radiance of Paradise, the spices are the fragrances of this world, the raisins represent the sweetness of life as well as Christ, who is the vine, and the sugar symbolizes the sweet Paradise.
